Wed, April 18, 2007 - 11:36 AMwhat point? The note is potentially ground breaking for people who go to art school to become "Artists" and I would hope that it would take alot less to break that particular ground for anyone supposedly with the sensetivity to be reflect on culture. -

If you're not already putting those hours by whatever means possible BEFORE art school, failure to start putting them in DURING
art school pretty much assures failure, regardless of how many or which brushes and paints one acquires.
You want a master's brush stroke?
Don't just make one that looks like your teacher's.
Find the one you really want to make and do it eleventy-billion times until it's always, always, always right.
School can speed that up somewhat, but there will never be a real shortcut.
So people who think school is the shortcut... well... you see my point.
